1. Scope of this Notice
This Notice explains the cookies and similar tracking technologies used on our Websites. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the SYGNS Privacy Policy.
This Notice applies to our Websites only. It does not apply to the SYGNS mobile application. The SYGNS mobile application does not use browser cookies or advertising pixels, and its data practices are described separately in the SYGNS Privacy Policy.
2. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise your device and remember information about your visit.
Pixels (also known as tags, tracking pixels, or web beacons) are small pieces of code provided by a third party. When a page loads, the pixel allows that third party to record that you visited the page and to receive information about your device and your activity on the page.
3. Technologies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary and functional technologies. These are required to operate the Websites, maintain security, and, where applicable, process a purchase through our payment provider. They do not require your consent and cannot be switched off through our consent tools.
3.2 Advertising and measurement technologies. We use the following third party pixels on our Websites:
When these pixels are active, they set cookies and transmit information to Meta and TikTok, which may include your IP address, device and browser information, the pages you view, and actions you take on our Websites (for example, page visits, sign-up clicks, or purchases).
We use this information to measure the performance of our advertising, to attribute conversions, and to show you relevant advertisements on the Meta and TikTok platforms. Using these pixels involves sharing personal information with Meta and TikTok, who act as independent third parties and process that information under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, using these advertising pixels may nonetheless be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out of that sharing at any time using the controls below.
4. Your choices and consent
Where required by law, the advertising and measurement technologies described in Section 3.2 do not load until you provide consent through our cookie banner. You may accept or decline non-essential technologies, and you may change your choice at any time through .
You can also:
5. United States privacy rights (California and other states)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, our use of the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel constitutes the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. The categories of personal information involved are identifiers (such as IP address and device identifiers) and internet or network activity (such as pages viewed and actions taken).
You have the right to opt out of this sharing. You can exercise this right through .
Where required by applicable state law, we recognise and honour opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information, without any further action needed from you, and we will display a confirmation that your opt-out request has been honoured.
If you are a resident of another U.S. state with an applicable privacy law (including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Oregon, Texas, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Minnesota, and Maryland), you may have a similar right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of your personal information, which you can exercise through the same mechanism.
We do not use these technologies to knowingly share the personal information of anyone under the age of 16 without the consent required by law.
6. Canada privacy rights (PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25)
For users in Canada, we obtain meaningful consent through our cookie banner before any non-essential technology described in Section 3.2 is activated.
If you are located in Quebec, we rely on your express consent before activating these technologies, in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). You may withdraw your consent at any time through .
Cross-border transfer. Information collected through the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel is transmitted to and processed by Meta and TikTok on servers located in the United States and other countries outside Canada. By consenting to these technologies, you acknowledge this transfer. Personal information transferred outside Canada may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and governmental authorities in those jurisdictions.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information. Questions about our handling of personal information may be directed to legal@denmarkandwinter.com.
